Michael Laehn completed his studies in Economics at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. In 1995, Mr. Laehn began his professional career at a regional auditing firm in Koblenz.
After successfully passing the professional exams for tax advisor and certified public accountant, he took over as authorized signatory and head of the Mainz branch in 2003. Following an interim position at another regional auditing firm, Mr. Laehn joined the Mainz branch of the DORNBACH Group as an authorized signatory in 2021 and was appointed Managing Director at the end of that year. In 2024, he was admitted as a partner.
Mr. Laehn has extensive knowledge in the consulting and auditing of companies and public sector institutions, as well as non-profit organizations.
His professional focus includes consulting and auditing companies and groups in the supply and disposal sectors (electricity, gas, water, district heating, wastewater, waste), as well as other institutions and companies in the fields of research and culture. Additionally, Mr. Laehn provides consulting and auditing services for medium-sized companies and non-profit associations and corporations. Another key area is the calculation of fees and contributions. Mr. Laehn is also well-versed in issues related to the implementation of § 2b UStG and the taxation of commercial operations.
